Warranty terms, usage guidelines, and maintenance instructions for SilentLab's GEN4 and SPARK pods.
Warranty Conditions
1. Warranty Conditions
SilentLab s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as the “manufacturer”) guarantees that the GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes are free from manufacturing and material defects and comply with relevant standards and technical regulations valid in the Czech Republic and/or the EU, and provides a quality warranty (hereinafter referred to as the “warranty”).
The warranty period is two (2) years and starts on the date the GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes are accepted by the buyer (or from the date considered as acceptance pursuant to a specific agreement between the parties).
The warranty is valid only if the GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes have been professionally assembled and installed by the manufacturer, an authorized dealer, or a partner of the manufacturer.
The need to adjust the doors or hinges and doors rubbing against the threshold may be a normal result of
using the pod and do not constitute grounds for a warranty claim. Please follow the adjustment instructions
in the manual.
A valid proof of purchase of the GEN4/SPARK acoustic box is required to initiate a warranty claim.
The claim will be handled in accordance with the applicable provisions of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”).
Rights and obligations not expressly covered by these warranty conditions shall be governed by the applicable provisions of generally binding regulations, especially the Act.
All conditions stated herein apply unless a different (specific) written agreement is made between the parties.
2. Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
Wear and tear of GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes caused by normal use.
In cases of installation of GEN4/SPARK products on softer floors such as linoleum, carpet, or other office flooring, visible imprints may occur due to the product’s own weight and the use of casters. Load marks may become particularly visible when moving or relocating the product.
Defects and damage to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes resulting from external circumstances and/or force majeure.
Defects and damage to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes resulting from improper (including any unusual) storage, use or placement, rough or insensitive handling, lack or unsuitability of maintenance—whether intentional or due to negligence—especially (but not limited to) in violation of these warranty conditions or the GEN4/SPARK user and maintenance manual.
Any modifications or repairs to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes carried out by anyone other than the manufacturer, a partner of the manufacturer, or an authorized dealer.
Defects and damage to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes for which a discount was granted at the time of purchase.
If the GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes were not professionally assembled/installed by the manufacturer, a partner of the manufacturer, or an authorized dealer.
Any relocation of GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes (or any other manipulation of their position and/or location) carried out by anyone other than the manufacturer, a partner of the manufacturer, or an authorized dealer.
Claims for the DOCK unit (wall panel with electrical setup and ventilation) if tamper-proof seals are damaged or any unauthorized interference is detected.
Damage to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes caused by overloading.
Squeaking hinges – we recommend lubricating with white lithium grease.
3. Warranty Termination
The warranty becomes void in the following cases:
Expiry of the warranty period.
If the warranty is not claimed promptly (i.e., within three (3) days) after discovering the defect, and not in accordance with these warranty conditions.
4. How to Claim Warranty
Claims must be made electronically by sending an email to:support@silent-lab.com. The buyer must include a clear description of the defect, proof of the extent (e.g., photo documentation), the serial number, and a copy of the valid proof of purchase.
If the claim is justified, the manufacturer will resolve the issue within the legal time frame using the most appropriate method at its discretion (repair, product replacement, or reasonable price reduction). If the claim proves to be unjustified or the defect does not exist as described, the manufacturer has the right to charge the buyer for the actual costs of the claim process.
These warranty conditions apply only to GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes purchased from the manufacturer, authorized dealers, or partners.
Legal relationships are governed by Czech law. The competent court in the Czech Republic, where the manufacturer is based, shall have jurisdiction for dispute resolution.

5. GEN4
The serial number label is under the bottom panel on the DOCK side, at the top of the metal inspection cover. The upholstered panel can be easily removed.

7. GEN4
The GEN4 product line represents a new generation of acoustic boxes combining precision craftsmanship, timeless design, and cutting-edge technologies. Thanks to the modular „Office landscaping“ concept, excellent acoustics, quiet ventilation, and patented natural lighting, GEN4 creates an ideal environment for both work and relaxation.
GEN4 acoustic boxes can be assembled into shared layouts known as Office landscaping. This allows individual boxes to form functional zones tailored for concentration, collaboration, and rest. GEN4 acoustic boxes thus become modular building blocks for creating tailor-made flexible environments. You can find individual layout examples at www.silent-lab.com.

Standard GEN4 equipment includes:
Dual Light (natural + ambient lighting), ventilation, power outlet(s) (number depends on box type), occupancy indicator, motion sensor, work desk (SPOT), and 7” LCD control panel. Lighting and ventilation are activated by a motion sensor. Optional features available per the current price list.
8. SPARK
SPARK acoustic rooms are suitable for a variety of environments. The durable powder coated steel exterior fits into offices, production halls, and medical facilities. Their modern design, compact interior, and top acoustic performance ensure privacy and quiet with minimal maintenance requirements.

LED lighting, ventilation, power outlet(s) (depending on type), motion sensor, work desk (SPARK), and control panel for lighting and ventilation. Lighting and ventilation are motion-activated. Optional features available per the current price list.
9. Operating Guidelines and Safety Instructions
In both GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes, a high-performance quiet ventilation system ensures superior air exchange. Air is drawn directly from the room and is not cooled. Therefore, air temperature and quality inside GEN4/SPARK depend on the surrounding environment.
GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes are designed exclusively for indoor spaces with controlled conditions. The relative humidity in the room must be between 30–65%.
Temperature inside GEN4/SPARK may be affected by sunlight. Higher temperatures may occur in strong sunlight, so avoid placing the boxes near façades, poorly ventilated areas, or rooms with elevated temperature and intense sun exposure.
Max. recommended continuous use time for GEN4/SPARK is 1 hour, corresponding to the average length of a meeting or conference call.
Do not smoke or use open flames inside GEN4/SPARK. Fire risk.
In the event of fire, use only a powder fire extinguisher. GEN4/SPARK boxes do not form a separate fire compartment. Leave immediately in case of a fire alarm and follow the fire safety instructions.
Do not tilt or relocate assembled GEN4/SPARK boxes; risk of tipping and injury. Do not move or reposition already installed GEN4/SPARK boxes without contacting the manufacturer, its partner, or an authorized dealer.
If GEN4/SPARK boxes are equipped with a door opening limiter, handle doors carefully. The limiter defines the opening angle and is not a stopper. Rough handling may cause damage.
The roof of GEN4/SPARK is not load-bearing. Do not step on it or apply weight. Use a ladder only during assembly. Overloading the roof may damage the structural frame.
Do not tamper with electrical components. In case of electrical malfunction, contact the manufacturer.
Do not touch or press the motion sensor inside GEN4/SPARK.
The desk is not intended for sitting. Bench – max load: 180 kg.
Do not tamper with the DOCK safety seal.
Never overload GEN4/SPARK acoustic boxes—always follow the maximum user capacity per model.
Maintenance
10. Upholstery
Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner with upholstery nozzle. Blot liquids with paper towel, wipe residue with damp cloth, and allow fabric to dry. Clean immediately after soiling. Cleaning and disinfection instructions for specific fabrics are available separately.

11. Glass
This type of glass can be maintained using standard glass care products such as Okena, Clean, etc. The cleaning agent should be applied directly to the glass surface and then polished dry with a clean, dry cloth, such as a microfiber (“Swedish”) cloth.
Under no circumstances should cleaning products containing abrasives (fine grit), such as Cif, be used. Even a single application can cause irreversible damage (scratching) to the glass surface.
12. Wood / Solid Surfaces
Use only oil- or wax-based cleaning agents, and only with a damp cloth. Dust is captured with a damp cloth, and a silky-glossy protective film forms on the surfaces, preventing further soiling and liquid penetration. Do not leave cups or glasses with a wet bottom on solid wood, and always wipe up spilled liquids as soon as possible to avoid stains.
13. Carpet
Depending on the level of use, the carpet should be regularly and thoroughly vacuumed with a powerful brush vacuum cleaner to effectively remove dust and loose dirt.
Dab liquid stains with absorbent cloths—do not rub or smear them. Remove stains immediately whenever possible, and do not let them dry. For stain removal, use special carpet stain removers designed for synthetic fibers. Do not scrub the spot or soak the carpet when treating stains.
14. Powder-Coated Steel
These surfaces can be cleaned with water and a neutral or mildly alkaline cleaning agent. Use a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or aggressive chemicals (such as acetone, thinners, acids, or strong alkalis).
