External Cladding Installation

This document covers the procedure for installing the external cladding on the GEN4 acoustic pod. The cladding system consists of four segmented panels that attach to the main structural frame using concealed metal mounting brackets to ensure safety.

  1. 1. Panel Preparation (Pre-assembly)

    Before mounting the panels to the pod, the mounting hardware must be attached to each panel.

    1. Place the cladding panels on a flat, clean surface to avoid scratching the finish.
    2. Locate the pre-drilled positions or designated mounting points on the back/sides of the panels.
    3. Attach the Metal Mounting Brackets to the panels using the 3x12 mm wood screws.
      • Note: Use 4 screws per panel (2 screws per bracket). Ensure the brackets are tightened securely and are flush with the panel surface.
    4. For the Bottom Panel only: Insert the 2 dowel connectors into the pre-drilled holes on the bottom edge of the panel. Tap gently if necessary to ensure they are seated firmly.

  2. 2. Cladding Installation

    IMPORTANT: Always install panels starting from the bottom and working upwards.

    1. Bottom Panel: Position the first panel (the one with the dowels) at the base of the structural frame.

      • Align the dowels with the corresponding holes in the bottom profile of the pod frame.

      • Push the panel against the vertical posts until the mounting brackets engage with the frame slots.

      • use strews to secure Metal Mounting Brackets to the structure using the 3x12 mm wood screws

    2. Upper Panels: Take the next panel and position it directly above the bottom panel.

      • Align the mounting brackets with the vertical frame posts.

      • Slide the panel down to sit flush on top of the previous panel.

      • Push firmly to secure the engagement clips.

      • use strews to secure Metal Mounting Brackets to the structure using the 3x12 mm wood screws
