Beginner Tutorial: How to Paint a Flower Using a Palette Knife

1. Scoop a mix of red and a small amount of yellow paint onto your knife.
2. Starting near the top of your canvas, gently press and drag the knife in a curved motion to form your first petal.
3. Repeat this motion in a circular pattern, forming additional petals one by one.
4. Slight overlaps and varying pressure give each petal texture and depth.

Tip: Use the rounded tip of the knife to start and finish each petal cleanly.

1. Continue placing petals around the center until you complete a full circle.
2. Adjust the knife angle as needed to keep the curve consistent.
3. Aim for about 6–7 petals. The yellow streaks blend naturally into the red, adding a glowing highlight.
