Please read through the safe working practice to ensure prevention of injury or damage to the device.
Do not operate the device in areas of high temperature or humidity as the machine may not function correctly.
Never operate the T-Mech Earth Auger in wet conditions.
Use only outdoors. The T-Mech Earth Auger needs ventilation – the emissions contain carbon monoxide.
Do not overwork the machine.
Turn the power and motor off before changing drills, or refuelling.
Do not keep the drill rotating or engine running whilst placing onto the ground after use.
Do not smoke or work near flames during the use of the T-Mech Earth Auger.
Only use genuine spare parts to maintain a safe and usable T-Mech Earth Auger.
Do not refuel when the engine is hot.
If damaged, do not operate the machine.
Do not operate the T-Mech Earth Auger if you are drowsy or under the influence of drugs or alcohol – slow responses can cause injuries to the user.
Keep the fuel mixing tank at least 3 meters away from the T-Mech Earth Auger when starting the engine.
Maintain proper control of the machine at all times, distractions may cause damage to the machine and/or injury to the user. Bystanders should keep a safe distance of at least 5 meters from the machine during operation.
The T-Mech Earth Auger should be operated by a competent adult. Keep out of reach of children and do not allow children to operate the machine.
Do not transport the machine when the T-Mech Earth Auger is on.
Turn Engine off when moving between holes.
Never touch the drill when the engine is running, or when accelerating.
Engine should be turned off and cool, spark plug wire must be removed from spark plug before any repairs are attempted.
Ensure the bolt and split pin is securely attached to the motor before starting the power.
Do not drill close to an underground power or gas line.
Do not pour water on the electrical housing or near the vents.
The auger should not rotate when the engine is idling.
Loose clothing, long hair and jewellery could be caught in moving parts and cause injury. Always wear safety glasses, respirator, non-slip safety shoes, hard hat and ear defenders in appropriate conditions.
Avoid getting soil into eyes - wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
Keep the T-Mech Earth Auger and accessories clean to prolong working life.
