Fasten off. Pull the yarn through the 6 remaining st and pull tight. Weave in the end.
Embroider with brown 2 nostrils onto the head.
2. Shaping the Head and Placing the Eyes
Cut off a long piece of green yarn and thread it onto a needle.
Insert the needle into the bottom of the head at point A, press the head together a little and let the needle come out at point B.
Then insert at point C and let it come out again at point D.
Finally insert at point E and press the head a little again and let the needle come out again at point A.
Make sure that the thread which goes from B to C and from D to E will be at the bottom behind the eyes.
Pull the yarn ends till the head has the right shape and secure the yarn ends firmly.
3. Body
Ch 2 with green or start with a magic ring.

2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)
3. Sc into the back loops only, 1 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)
4. and 5. 1 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)
6. 2 times (4 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 10 sc)
7. and 8. 1 sc in every sc (= 10 sc)
9. 2 times (3 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 8 sc)
10. - 14. 1 sc in iedere sc (= 8 sc)
Stuff only the lower part of the arm.
15. Fold the top part and sc together with 4 sc.
Fasten off and leave a long yarn hanging to sew the arms onto the body.
Sew the arms onto the body between round 23 and 24.
5. Legs (make 2)
Ch 2 with green or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc into the 1st ch or into the magic ring, 1 sl into the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)
3. 6 times (1 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 18 sc)
4. Sc into the back loops only, 1 sc in every sc (= 18 sc)
5. - 7. 1 sc in every sc (= 18 sc)
8. 3 times (4 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 15 sc)
9. and 10. 1 sc in every sc (= 15 sc)

Stuff the leg for 2/3.
17. Fold the top part and sc together with 6 sc.
Fasten off and leave a long yarn hanging.
Sew the legs onto the bottom of the body between round 3 and round 6.
6. Shell centre part

Continue with beige.

7. Shell side parts (make 6)

Continue with beige.
5. 5 sc, 3 hdc in 1 sc, 6 sc, 2 hdc in 1 sc, 3 sc, 2 hdc in 1 sc, 6 sc, 3 hdc in 1 sc (= 30 sc)
Sew all side parts with the short side onto the center part of the shield. Secure them with 5 st.
Then sew all side parts onto the shield with 9 st. At the bottom there will be 7 remaining st per side part.
8. Shell edge
Continue crocheting at the bottom of the shield with beige.
1. 1 sc in every sc (= 42 sc)
Fasten off and leave a long yarn hanging to sew the shield onto the body.
Continue with brown.
2. Sc into the front loops, 6 times (6 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 48 sc)
3. 3 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc, 5 times (7 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc), 4 sc (= 54 sc)
4. 6 times (8 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 60 sc)
Stuff the shield and sew it onto the back, use here for the front loops of round 2.
9. Shell on the Belly
Ch 2 with beige or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc into the 1st ch or into the magic ring, 1 sl into the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)
3. 6 times (1 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 18 sc)
4. 6 times (2 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 24 sc)
5. 1 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc, 5 times (3 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc), 2 sc (= 30 sc)
6. 6 times (4 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc) (= 36 sc)

Embroider with brown the six-pack onto the shield.
Sew the shield onto the belly of the turtle.
