Pumpkins

Pattern for crocheting the Pumpkins by Hardicraft. The large pumpkin is approximately 12 cm tall and the smaller one is 7.5 cm. The set is made with a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

1. Orange Pumpkin

Start at the bottom of the pumpkin.

Ch 2 with orange or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc into the 2nd ch or into the magic ring, 1 sl into the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)

3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)

4. 2 sc in every 3rd sc (= 24 sc)

5. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)

6. 2 sc in every 5th sc (= 36 sc)

7. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 42 sc)

8. 2 sc in every 7th sc (= 48 sc)

9. 2 sc in every 8th sc (= 54 sc)

21. 6 x (8 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 54 sc)

Attach the safety eyes between round 18 and 19, with approx. 8 st between them.

26. 6 x (3 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 24 sc)

27. 6 x (2 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 18 sc)

Stuff the pumpkin.

28. 6 x (1 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 12 sc)

29. 6 x (sc 2 st together) (= 6 sc)

Fasten off. Pull the yarn end through the 6 remaining st and pull tight. Now pull the yarn end through the pumpkin to the magic ring from the beginning and pull tight until your work dents slightly at the top and bottom. Secure the yarn end and weave in the end. Embroider with black a mouth between the eyes, use the picture as a guide.
2. Butternut Squash

Start at the bottom of the pumpkin.

Ch 2 with beige or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc into the 2nd ch or into the magic ring, 1 sl into the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)

3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)

4. 2 sc in every 3rd sc (= 24 sc)

5. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)

6. 2 sc in every 5th sc (= 36 sc)

7. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 42 sc)

3. Stems (crochet two)

Start at the top part of the stem.

Ch 2 with green or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc into the 2nd ch or into the magic ring, 1 sl into the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. - 4. 6 sc

5. 2 sc in every 2 sc (= 9 sc)

6. 2 sc in every 3 sc (= 12 sc)

7. 2 sc in every 2 sc (= 18 sc)

Fasten off and sew the stem onto the top part of the pumpkin.

Ch 20 with green. Sc from the 2nd ch from the needle: 2 sc in every ch. Sew this part onto the side of the stem.
