Start with the base. The base is crocheted in back and forth rows. After each row, ch 1 and turn your work around.

Ch 16 with blue.

1 to 26. 15 sc

Crochet a row of sc around the entire piece as follows:

27. 25 sc along the side, 3 sc in the corner, 13 sc along the front, 3 sc in the corner, 25 sc along the side, 3 sc in the corner, 13 sc along the top, 3 sc in the corner (= 88 sc)

Now continue in rounds.

28. 88 sc, but crochet only in the back loops.

29 to 36. 88 sc

37. 23 sc, ch 17, skip 29 sc, 1 sc in the 30th sc, 14 sc, ch 17, skip 29 sc, 1 sc in the 30th sc, 

From now on, this is the beginning of the round. (photo 1)

38. 14 sc, 17 sc in the ch, 15 sc, 17 sc in the ch, 1 sc (= 64 sc)

Continue with cream white.

39 to 42. 64 sc

Fasten off. Pull the yarn end through the remaining 6 stitches and tighten. Weave in the ends.

Reattach the orange yarn in the 1st remaining loop of row 37 (photo 2).

1. Crochet 17 sc along the loops.

2 to 6. Ch 1, turn your work around, 17 sc

5. Crochet the sc together with the sc at the front of the car with a row of sl, skip 6 sc, start in the 7th sc (photo 3).

Stuff the car. Crochet the trunk lid like the hood at the back of the car.

Sew the sides of the hood and boot lid closed.

Embroider with blue 2 stitches along each corner of the windows and in the middle of the side window.

Embroider with white the word ‘POLICE’ over rows 34 to 37 (see photo).

Ch 2 with red or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 6 sl

Fasten off.

Crochet another headlight and sew the headlights to the front of the car.
