Ch 2 with red or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)
3. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 15 sc)
4. 3 x (2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc) (= 18 sc)
5. 18 sc
6. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 21 sc)
7. 3 x (3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 3 sc) (= 24 sc)
8. 2 sc in every 8th sc (= 27 sc)
9. 3 x (4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 4 sc) (= 30 sc)

Stuff the cap.
28. 6 x (1 sc, sc 2 st together, 1 sc) (= 18 sc)
29. Sc every 2nd and 3rd st together (= 12 sc)
30. 6 x (sc 2 st together) (= 6 sc)
Fasten off. Pull the yarn end through the remaining 6 st and pull tight. Weave in the end. Push rounds 25 to 30 inwards to create a dent in the cap where you will later place the stem. Embroider white stripes over rounds 20 to 25. Leave about 2 st distance between the stripes (see photo).
