1. Body

Begin at the bottom of the body.

Cast on 16 sts with brown.

Attach the safety eyes at row 20, with 10 sts between them. When you place the eyes, make sure that the seam is at the back of the head.

Stuff the head.

Work a gathering thread through every st along the front part of the head and draw up tightly. Weave in the end.

Sew the head onto the body. The seam points downwards, the snout sticks out in front of the body (see photo).
3. Legs

Start at the top part of the leg.

Cast on 16 sts with brown.

1. - 15. st st, start with a purl row.

Continue with beige.

Continue with brown.

27. k24 at the wrong side of your work.

Break yarn and draw tightly through the remaining 8 sts. Join seam with a mattress stitch.

Knit 3 more legs. Stuff 2 legs completely, these are the hind legs. Fold the edges and sew them together.

Sew the hind legs onto the side of the body at rows 10 to 17.

Stuff the front legs for two-thirds, the top part remains empty. Fold the edges and sew them together.

Sew the front legs onto the body, just below the head. Use the pictures as a guide.
4. Horns

For the horns we use shortened rows, for this we use the following method:

Yo+Tk = yarn over, turn and knit: Bring the yarn to the front of your work, pass over the next stitch knit-wise to the right knitting needle, bring the yarn to the back, slip the last stitch back to the left knitting needle, turn your work.

Yo+Tp = yarn over, turn and purl: Bring the yarn to the back of your work, pass over the next stitch purl-wise to the right knitting needle, bring the yarn to the front, slip the last stitch back to the left knitting needle, turn your work.

Cast on 9 sts with beige.

1. - 3. st st (start with a purl row)

4. k6, Yo+Tk

5. p3, Yo+Tp

6. k6 (from here you knit again to the end of the row)

7. p9

8. - 11. Repeat rows 4 to 7.

12. k2tog, k5, k2tog (= 7 sts)

13. p7

14. k2tog, k3, k2tog (= 5 sts)

15. p5

16. k2tog, k1, k2tog (= 3 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through the remaining 3 sts. Join seam with a mattress stitch.

Knit another horn. Sew the horns onto the sides of the head at row 27. Make sure the horns are pointing up.
5. Ears

Cast on 8 sts with brown.

1. p8

2. 4 x (k1, kfb) (= 12 sts)

3. p12

4. 4 x (k1, kfb, k1) (= 16 sts)

5. - 7. st st

8. 4 x (k1, k2tog, k1) (= 12 sts)

9. p12

10. 4 x (k1, k2tog) (= 8 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through the remaining 8 sts. Fold the ear.

Knit another ear. Sew the ears onto the head, just before the horns (see photo).
6. Nostrils and eye accents

Embroider the nostrils with brown at the level of row 12 of the head, leaving 7 sts in between. Use the photo as a guide for placement.

Embroider two stitches with beige along the outside of the eyes. Use the photo as a guide for placement.
7. Tail

Cast on 5 sts with brown.

1. - 14. st st, begin with a knit row.

Bind off knitwise and join the long sides together with a mattress stitch.

Sew the tail to the body at the level of rows 8 to 10.
8. Mane and tail tuft

Cut off 28 brown strands of yarn of approximately 10 cm. Attach the strands for the mane in the following way: fold the strands in half and pull them with a (crochet) needle through the stitch. Pull both ends through the loop that is formed and pull tight. Attach 4 strands to the end of the tail and use the rest for the mane. Make 3 rows of 8 strands on top of the head for the mane.
