Egg Warmers

Pattern for crocheting the 4 egg warmers from Hardicraft. The egg warmers are approximately 5 to 8 cm and are made with a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

The egg warmer base is crocheted from top to bottom.

Ch 2 with white or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)

3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)

4. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 21 sc)

5. 2 sc in every 7th sc (= 24 sc)

6. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)

7. 6 x (2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc) (= 36 sc)

8. - 14. 36 sc

Fasten off and weave in the end.
3. Wings

Ch 2 with white or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 9 sc)

3. - 5. 9 sc

Flatten the wing and crochet the edges together with 4 sc. Fasten off.

Crochet another wing. Sew the wings to the sides of the base, at the level of round 12.
4. Comb

Ch 2 with pink or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 9 sc)

3. - 4. 9 sc

Fasten off.

Crochet rounds 1 to 4 once more, but don't fasten off and continue in part 1.

5. - 6. 18 sc

7. 5 sc, sc 2 st together, 7 sc, sc 2 st together, 2 sc (= 16 sc)

Fasten off and sew the comb in the middle of the base.
5. Face

Embroider two eyes with black and a little beak with pink at the level of round 11 of the base. Leave 6 stitches free between the eyes.
