Apple

Begin at the bottom of the apple.

Ch 2 with light green or start with a magic ring.

1. 6 sc in the 2nd ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)

2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12 sc)

3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)

4. 2 sc in every 3rd sc (= 24 sc)

5. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)

6. 2 sc in every 5th sc (= 36 sc)

7. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 42 sc)

8. 2 sc in every 14th sc (= 45 sc)

9. 2 sc in every 15th sc (= 48 sc)

10. 2 sc in every 16th sc (= 51 sc)

11. 2 sc in every 17th sc (= 54 sc)

12. to 16. 54 sc

17. 6 x (7 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 48 sc)

18. 6 x (6 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 42 sc)

19. 6 x (5 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 36 sc)

20. 6 x (4 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 30 sc)

Attach the safety eyes between round 12 and 13, with a space of 8 stitches between them.

21. 6 x (3 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 24 sc)

22. 6 x (2 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 18 sc)

Stuff the apple.

23. 6 x (1 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 12 sc)

24. 6 x (sc 2 st together) (= 6 sc)

Fasten off. Draw the yarn end through the remaining 6 stitches and pull tight.

Now draw the yarn through the apple to the beginning and pull tight until your apple indents slightly at the top and bottom. This creates a real “apple shape”. 

Secure the yarn and weave it inwards.

1. Ch 12 with dark green.

2. Skip the 1st ch from the hook and then crochet in the next chains: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl

3. 6 ch

4. Skip the 1st ch from the hook and then crochet in the next chains: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc

5. Crochet another sl in the same ch where the first leaf also ends.

A small piece of chain remains, this is the stem. 

Fasten off and sew the leaves to the top of the apple. 

Now sew the chain of the keyring between the leaves. 

Don't cut the yarn, but use it to embroider a little mouth. 

Then pull the yarn to the bottom of the apple and embroider the calyx at the bottom. 

Fasten off and weave in the end.
